Cooler Days… time to plan.

The cooler days have finally hit after months of warm weather and at this time of the year many people abandon their gardens and stay indoors. However for keen gardeners autumn is a perfect time to clean up after summer’s abundance and start planning for spring. You can take stock of what did well over summer and then decide what to remove and replace. You don’t have to replant now but spend some time researching what type of plants you would like to see instead of those plants that didn’t fare so well. A good tip is to walk along your street and see what plants are doing well in your area. If you love native plants try and find out what is indigenous to your area. For North and Eastern regions of Melbourne try the Victorian Indigenous Nursery Co-operative and for Western Regions of Melbourne and beyond try Australian Plants Society Keilor Plains
